John Deere Engines

With roots several decades deep in farm equipment manufacturing, John Deere is often first thought of as a major player in the agricultural industry. Some overlook that John Deere is also a global leader in construction, offering a full line of equipment and parts, as well as off-highway diesel engines ranging from 36 to 448 kW (49 to 600 hp).

Engine & Derivtrain At John Deere, we have more than 85 years of off-highway engine experience and expertise. Since 1949, we have designed and manufactured more than 5 million diesel engines and have established a network of more than 4,000 John Deere dealers that offer engine service and support.

Our engines are produced in different factories worldwide: Saran (France), Waterloo (USA), Torreon (Mexico), Pune (India), and Rosario (Argentina). John Deere is a leader in developing world-class diesel engines and integrating them into off-highway applications.

We distribute our engines to more than 700 OEMs worldwide for use in construction, marine, agricultural and forestry machines, air compressors, generator sets, irrigation pumps, and natural gas on-highway applications. John Deere also manufactures Engine components.
