Visitors walking the Grand Boulevard were greeted by a line of John Deere equipment.
CRESTMEAD, Queensland (29 November 2012) - EQUITANA Australia was delighted to have John Deere on board this year's event as its Official Machinery Supplier, exclusive naming sponsor for the Boulevard Pavilion and the Boulevard Indoor Arena and, as supporting partner of the Truck and Float Demonstration Arena.
"We were very pleased with our outdoor display and position at EQUITANA," says Garry Weegink, Tactical Segment Manager for John Deere. "We were hard to miss... we occupied 83 meters of the Grand Boulevard leading up from the Epsom Road entry to the John Deere Pavilion (Boulevard Pavilion) and showcased around 40 pieces of machinery ranging from ride-on mowers, to utility vehicles to compact utility tractors."
John Deere also held a prime position in the John Deere Pavilion where they featured their merchandise and toys. "Toys and merchandise are always a hit around this time of year", says Dora Molina, Product Marketing Specialist for John Deere. "We were consistently busy over the 4 days. Our die cast toys and hats were big sellers, probably because they make great gifts for Christmas."
As the Major Equipment Sponsor for the event, John Deere supplied the machinery to keep the EQUITANA team mobile. The fabulous John Deere machinery helped the EQUITANA crew make light work of every task. XUV Gators moved people, props and material around the site safely and all the arenas were kept in tip-top condition with the tractors they supplied.
John Deere also held some fun, interactive sessions for visitors take part in, at the Truck and Float Arena. "We had a drive over deck and loader demonstration on our 1 Series Compact Tractors, twice daily for four days", says Dora Molina. "We rustled up a few people from the crowd to participate, and got kids to race toy Gators for a bit of fun – we gave away a heap of prizes and giveaways, so there were smiles all round."
During the event John Deere received a lot of interest in their products - particularly Gators and Utility Tractors. "Many of those who attended EQUITANA were either women or families who had travelled interstate to be there", says Dora Molina. "People came from all corners of Australia, and many purchased a 4 day pass so they wouldn"t miss out on any competitions, shows or educational demonstrations."
"Overall EQUITANA was a great success for us", said Garry Weegink.
