United States industrial action

Crestmead, Queensland (28 October 2021) — APPROXIMATELY 10,000 John Deere workers from 14 facilities across the United States are engaging in International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) strikes.

John Deere understands how critical the timely delivery of parts is to the operation of our customers' businesses, especially farmers during harvest. As we continue our discussions with the UAW to understand our employees' priorities, we have initiated a Customer Service Continuation Plan (CSP) in our facilities in the US to keep our operations running and support our critical industries, customers and the communities we serve.

In our Australian and New Zealand Regional Distribution Centre located in Melbourne, we have bolstered stock levels of parts in anticipation of a strong harvest. At this stage, John Deere does not foresee any immediate impact to the supply of machinery or parts in the Australian or New Zealand markets and our focus here remains firmly on ensuring our customers have the support they need, when they need it.

John Deere is continuing negotiations with the UAW and is determined to reach an agreement that will put every union employee in a better economic position and their renumeration reflective of their priorities. We do not currently have an estimate of when employees affected by the strike will resume activities or a timeframe for completion of negotiations with the UAW.

For publicly available information regarding the negotiation, please visit one.deere.com
