Crestmead, Queensland (2 November, 2020) – John Deere has launched an online tool to help farmers and operators determine the right model of the versatile and reliable workhorse, the John Deere 5 Series Tractor, to suit the unique requirements of their operation.

John Deere Tactical Segment Marketing Manager, Fraser Scott, said the new 5 Series Selector Tool provided a simple and effective way for customers to quickly identify the tractor they need.

"The 5 Series Utility Tractor is a well-known workhorse that can be highly customisable and is one of John Deere's most versatile machines, with 17 models ranging from 50 to 125 horsepower (37 - 93 kW) available across the 5E, 5M and 5R model lineup," Mr Scott said.

"The 5 Series Selector Tool has taken the hard work out of decision making by allowing customers to input key usage data such as size of property, frequency of loader use, forecasted hours, horsepower requirements, drive type, transmission preferences and a range of precision agriculture and other requirements to determine the right tractor for the right job."

Increased horsepower within the range has given the John Deere 5 Series greater capabilities than some of its predecessors to take it from the entry-level 5E through to the 5R which is equipped with powerful, durable options with embedded technology for larger or more complex operations.

"The 5 Series options are extensive and allow the lineup to achieve performance and efficiency in any working environment, from hauling out at harvest to mowing, spraying, feeding and general property maintenance," Mr Scott said.

The 5E range features a powerful engine, with the operator able to choose between a comfortable cab or an open station. There's also two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive options to suit a range of terrain, while models vary from 37 to 69 kW (50 - 93 hp).

John Deere's most popular models are in the 5M range, which spans 56 to 86 kW (75 - 115 hp) and features a powerful 70 L/min hydraulic flow, independent SCVs and front hitch. There's a Click and Go front loader mounting system for the fast, safe and easy attachment of any extra equipment.

For a light, nimble, yet powerful option, customers prefer the 5R. It can handle a 4.15 tonne payload and has up to 5.7 tonne rear lift capacity, at the hooks. The 5R offers from 67 kW (90 hp) to 93 kW (125 hp) of power and includes the latest in John Deere technology with features like CommandARM™ and AutoTrac™ automatic steering. Operators will also benefit from the low hood, which can be coupled with the optional panorama roof, to provide the ultimate visibility, as well as offering outstanding comfort as a result of the front axle and cab suspension.

Customers purchasing a new 5 Series Tractor have the added incentive of five months with no repayments, and 0% per annum Finance* available over 48 months. This is coupled with the Australian Taxation Office's extension of the Instant Asset Write-off† scheme.

"This means there has never been a better time to purchase a new John Deere 5 Series Tractor," Mr Scott said.

"And, with so many customisation options within the 5 Series, we have a high-quality, reliable and dynamic offering that can stand the test of time in whatever paddock they are put to work in."
