Hagie Self-Propelled Sprayers drive efficiencies

Hagie STS Sprayer

CRESTMEAD, QUEENSLAND (3 March, 2021) – John Deere has announced an all-new lineup of three HagieTM Self-Propelled Sprayers for the Australian market as part of its most significant new product and upgrade release in a decade.

United States sprayer specialist, Hagie, was acquired by John Deere in 2016, and offers a comprehensive selection of spraying equipment including the new STS12, STS16 and STS20. Tank sizes range from 4500 to a huge 7500 L capacity, providing farmers with the potential for non-stop spraying.

Hagie Sprayers are powered by John Deere PowerTechTM 9.0 L Engines that generate 300 to 400 horsepower with the STS20 featuring dual turbos to maximise power while spraying.

All the features Hagie customers value, such as high clearance, four-wheel steer and front boom, have been insightfully combined with John Deere's precise, integrated, and easy-to-use technologies and now with the comfort and technology of an all-new John Deere cab.

Designed with the same features operators expect on trusted John Deere equipment, the Hagie Sprayer cab includes JDLinkTM, integrated StarFire™ GPS receiver, Generation 4 CommandCenterTM display, AutoTracTM guidance as standard, as well as free access to the John Deere Operations Center. This ensures operators can easily transition between their Hagie and John Deere equipment and enjoy a common operator experience.

The digital integration also allows farmers to take advantage of the John Deere Digital Ecosystem to monitor and track job quality, review field data, monitor equipment location and adjust plans.

Operators will be able to spend more time spraying and less time filling, with the PowrSprayTM technology for fast fills in under seven minutes at 1100 L per minute, and auto prime and onboard mixing.

CommandDriveTM monitors wheel slip and also comes as standard, while All Wheel Steer technology keeps tyres in the same set of tracks while turning on headlands to reduce crop damage.

Farmers can equip their STS Sprayer with one of four sizes of Hagie Hybrid Booms in working widths 27.4 m (90 ft.), 30.5 m (100 ft.), 36.6 m (120 ft.) and 40.2m (132 ft.). These booms are strong, lightweight and versatile, while Active Wing Roll™ by Norac® controls boom height when spraying across uneven terrain.

Hagie Sprayers will be available to order in June 2021. For more information go to the John Deere website or visit your local John Deere Dealer.
