John Deere takes golf equipment from showroom to showcase

Crestmead, Queensland (14 October, 2022) – John Deere, in partnership with its Australian dealership network, has launched a national Golf Showcase to demonstrate the latest in golfing and sports turf equipment innovation.

The string of 'ride and drive' events, held across Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia offer turf and sporting facility managers the opportunity to experience John Deere technology and equipment, up close, and in the field.

John Deere Turf & Strategic Account Sales Manager, Rob Pickering said the company partnered with many of Australia's most outstanding sporting and park grounds and looked forward to supporting the continual improvement and innovation of turf maintenance through the national event series.

"We introduced the Showcase so turf professionals from golf courses, sporting complexes, schools and councils, could not just see the equipment in action, but test it themselves," Mr Pickering said.

"Often it isn't until you ride the equipment for yourself that you can feel confident it is right for your business.

"At the Showcase attendees will have the opportunity to experience the very latest technology on the market, as well as hear from our dealers on what they can expect to see in market in the future."

The John Deere ProGator™ GPS PrecisionSprayer, is expected to be a highlight of the events, with its leading precision technology already providing enormous saving in inputs and labour on golf courses and sporting fields across Australia.

"We're witnessing growing demand for our range of precision turf products, as the technology provides a truly integrated and efficient approach to reducing inputs and saving valuable time," Mr Pickering said.

"Our turf products have benefited from the application of precision and GPS technology that has been used in the agriculture sector for more than 20 years."

Mr Pickering encouraged customers to attend the Showcase and to speak with the John Deere team about what they expect from their equipment now, and into the future.

"John Deere is committed to supporting a thriving turf industry here in Australia and New Zealand and understands turf managers are rapidly having to adapt to overcome several challenges, including access to labour, rising input costs and the need to minimise water usage and waste."

"Events, such as these, provide the ideal setting to connect with customers and learn more about the challenges and opportunities they are facing, and it's a great place for us to hear feedback to provide back to the factory."

A number of Golf Showcases have already taken place, including an event hosted by Land HQ at Bonnie Doon Golf Club on 30 August, Brandt at Geelong Race Club on 4 August and RDO at the Gold Coast on 31 August. And in September Midland Tractors at Country Club Casino, Prospect Tasmania and Brandt at Waterford Valley Golf, Victoria.
