Graduate Program participants have the unique opportunity to work directly on projects that have a real impact on those that are linked to the land. From customers to dealers and working closely with project teams – you’ll make a difference.

Graduate Criteria

Our graduate program is open to candidates in their final year of university studies in the following fields:

  • Agricultural Business
  • Agricultural Science
  • Business: Commerce & Marketing
  • Engineering

We are seeking committed people with the following attributes:

  • Flexible
  • Organised
  • Willing to work hard to achieve our vision
  • Actively seek challenges
  • Well developed interpersonal skills
  • Previous work experience on a farm or in an agricultural based industry
  • Applicants with a GPA of five or higher will have the most opportunity of success during the selection process.

My First Year with Deere

I’m Cameron Reid and I was part of the 2018 Graduate Program. I had a memorable first year with John Deere working on diverse projects from supply chain, to training events and was even part of an advertising photoshoot.

Applicants

All applications for our Graduate Program will need to be submitted online. To complete your application, you will need:

  • A cover letter — tell us who you are and why you want to work for John Deere
  • Your resume
  • A copy of your latest academic results
  • A copy of your proof of unrestricted work rights in Australia e.g. your Birth Certificate, Passport, Work Visa or Citizenship Certificate

Selection Process

The selection process is composed of various stages and you need to be successful at each stage in order to progress. The process is flexible and may include some or all of the following steps:

  • Screening of written applications
  • First Round
    • Aptitude testing
  • Second Round
    • Video screening interviews
    • Aptitude Testing
  • Third Round
    • Aptitude Testing
    • Onsite face-to-face interviews with our Executive Leadership Team
