Update: The Players Championship (TPC) Sawgrass Volunteer Program

Crestmead, Queensland (30 October, 2020) — AS our valued customers and partners know, John Deere Ltd's foremost priority is ensuring the safety of our customers, our staff, and our communities.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have made the difficult decision to withdraw our involvement in the 2021 The Players Championship (TPC) Sawgrass Volunteer Program.

TPC Sawgrass Volunteer Program, which debuted last year, offered Australian and New Zealand representatives the opportunity to travel to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA, to assist in the lead up to the famed Stadium Course for the Championship.

John Deere Ltd has comprehensive COVID-19 management and risk mitigation plans in place, all of which are in line with government advice. We recognise the great value in the TPC Sawgrass Volunteer Program and will continue to monitor the most current information to evaluate if we are able to be involved in the 2022 event.

The Program has received significant interest, and all the applicants who have submitted a video for the 2021 event will automatically qualify for Stage 2 of the next TPC Volunteer Program hosted by John Deere. Any applicant who did not qualify for Stage 2 this year will have the opportunity to re-apply for the 2022 event.
