John Deere introduces new 400 and 600 Series Sprayers

Self-Propelled Sprayers

CRESTMEAD, QUEENSLAND (3 March, 2021) — John Deere has launched new 400 and 600 Sprayer Series to equip producers with the tools for more precise and efficient spraying, as part of the company's largest product update in a decade.

Three new 400 (408R, 410R and 412R) and two new 600 (612R and 616R) Series Sprayers have been introduced to deliver enhanced operator comfort, high-quality application and the most machine uptime possible.

Tanks sizes range from 3000 up to 6000 litres depending on model, while the new boom recirculation feature ensures product is kept in suspension, so the boom is always primed and ready to spray. Combined with the air purge system, boom recirculation enables improved cleanout saving time and reducing waste.

Factory installed John Deere AutoTrac™ keeps the sprayer in the row for precise product placement, while John Deere ExactApply™ technology means operators can more accurately control droplet size, spray pressure and individual nozzles. Optional BoomTrac™ Pro 2 further hones spraying accuracy by maintaining the boom's position.

Compared to previous models, the upgraded sprayers maintain application quality by delivering more power to the ground when and where it's needed, such as on hills, while using less fuel and providing a quieter work environment for the operator.

John Deere 400 and 600 Series Sprayers have the fuel-saving CommandDrive™ powertrain to reduce engine revs and save fuel while maintaining a consistent speed and spray pattern. Selected models of the 400 Series can reach field speeds of up to 40 km/hour and transport speeds of up to 48 km/hour, while 600 Series machines can achieve field speeds of up to 40 km/hour and transport speeds of up to 56 km/hour.

The 400 Series Sprayers span three models. The 412R features a 4500 L tank and is powered by a 326 horsepower PowerTech™ 9.0 L engine. The 410R is equipped with a 3750 L tank and 310 horsepower PowerTech 9.0 L engine, while the 408R comes with a 3000 L tank and 280 horsepower PowerTech 6.8 L engine.

The 616R is the largest of the 600 Series and boasts a 6000 L tank and a 375 horsepower PowerTech engine, while the 612R features a 4500 L tank and 355 horsepower PowerTech 9.0 L engine.

All 400 and 600 Series Sprayers come standard with a JDLink™ connection, integrated StarFire™ GPS receiver, Generation 4 CommandCenter™ display and free access to the John Deere Operations Center to allow customers to easily view and monitor equipment performance, and to inform agronomic decisions.

The new 400 and 600 Sprayer Series will be available to order from mid-2021. For more information visit the John Deere website or contact your local John Deere Dealer.
