Throughout our history, John Deere has shown a strong commitment to helping those in need. Especially when disaster strikes. Our relief and recovery efforts follow regional and national disasters in areas where we have a presence. Through funding and individual employee involvement, we help people and their communities.
One way we do this is through our work with the Red Cross, an organisation with a long history of assisting families and communities in times of need.
In limited cases, equipment has been made available to communities to help recovery efforts.
Disasters such as the January 2011 floods on the east coast of Australia and the 2011 Christchurch earthquakes in New Zealand are examples of where John Deere has provided assistance to local communities.
Our employees, too, frequently step up to supplement John Deere support through individual donations and also as volunteers.
