THE X Series' enhanced productivity, coupled with an ideal frame size, has left a lasting impression on Paul Park, who played host to the Hutcheon & Pearce X Series Demo Day on his farm "Keralee".
Mr Park farms across 3000 ha and also runs a contract harvesting business servicing Northern NSW and parts of Victoria, meaning machinery manoeuvrability is important, as he needs to travel with his equipment.
"With the X Series you are getting an extra half a header, but it's in the same size as the S Series," Mr Park said.
"What I also found impressive when watching the X9 1000 was the ability of the HD50R platform to float and ride along as it followed the ground.
"It was hugging the ground so well, it looked as though it moved independently to the harvester, which I think has ticked a huge box."
Stepping into the cab of the X Series didn't disappoint Mr Park, who was impressed by the visibility and overall comfort.
"The sound level was just amazing. Noise reduction is something John Deere has continued to improve with all the new harvester models," he said.
