A DESIRE to streamline efficiencies is the driving force behind Hilston broadacre cropping enterprise, Jager Farming, and is one of the propellers which motivated the family-run business to secure an X Series Harvester for the 2022 season.
Jochim Jager, who attended the Hutcheon & Pearce X Series Demo Day in Deniliquin, NSW, farms wheat, canola, lentils and barley across 10,000 ha.
Mr Jager's initial observations of the X9 1000, which was put to work cutting a wheat crop during the demonstration, was the enhanced operator comfort within the cab.
"It was quite impressive, as the cab was noticeably quiet," Mr Jager said.
When having a prime seat to watch the smooth harvest roll across the farm, Mr Jager was assured the X Series' efficient capabilities were the ideal fit for his operation.
"It's overall capacity and the fact it has minimal grain loss was evident during the demo. A harvester with little grain loss is what we were looking for," Mr Jager said.
"During the demo, the X9 1000 harvested varying crops, including some lighter grain, and didn't throw any of it out – which with crops like that, can easily happen."
