SmartView displays during transport
Overview
SmartView is John Deere’s factory integrated operator visibility system for MY27 sprayers. It uses three G5e Universal Displays mounted in the headliner and seven purpose-built digital cameras positioned around the machine to deliver real-time visibility of critical areas during transport, in-field operation, and tendering.
Unlike aftermarket kits, SmartView is fully engineered into the sprayer platform — including machine specific harnessing, integrated triggers, and seamless control from the G5 / G5Plus CommandCenter™ Display. It is available only as a factory option, requires the Ultimate Visibility Package, and is tailored to 408R, 410R, 412R, 612R, and 616R sprayers.

- Distance to tender truck, operator in tire path, alignment to side autofill, shop parking visibility

SmartView trigger options and camera views around the machine
Trigger behavior (automatic and manual)
SmartView selects the most relevant views automatically and also supports quick manual overrides from the hydro handle.
- Default Transport Views (booms folded | F, N, or P)
Shown automatically for road/yard movement when the booms are folded. (Not available with booms unfolded.)
- Reverse Views (booms folded or unfolded)
Shown automatically when shifting to Reverse or by manual override using the D‑rocker rearward.
- Forward Views (booms unfolded default; manual when folded)
Shown by default when the booms are unfolded in F, N, or P. When booms are folded, operators can access forward views via manual override using the D‑rocker forward.
- Intersection Views (booms folded)
Shown automatically via turn signal or by manual override using the B-button when the booms are folded. (Not available with booms unfolded.)
- Customizable Triggers
NOTES:
- “F, N, or P” refers to the sprayer’s Forward, Neutral, or Park states.
- Manual overrides persist until cleared by the operator or superseded by an automatic event (per software design).
